MEET FRANZ, HOKA RUN CLUB LEADER

FRANZ RUICK-LARISCH

Franz discovered his love for running in 2018 when he entered the local Ultra-Marathon, and he’s not looked back since!

Having been a brand ambassador for several years before joining the brand full time showed that Franz loves the products!

“I am an advocate for running and the power it has to make us feel good, both physically and mentally. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far you go, it’s matter that you ran at all!”
Leading our HOKA Run Club from our Berlin HOKA Store store has been a dream come true for him, having long been a fan of the brand. His favourite shoes (if he had to choose) are the Mafate 5, Clifton 10 and Challenger 8.

“The run club is a great way of embodying the Fly Human Fly spirit here at HOKA. Every week we are lucky enough to welcome fans and newcomers alike to try on our shoes, meet like-minded people and even some of our elite athletes! If you’re nervous, you don’t need to be, we’re a friendly, welcoming group who always run together!”

And when he’s not leading our run club he can be found on the trails around his home town in the Saxon Switzerland.

MEET BRICE, HOKA RUN CLUB LEADER

BRICE MAILLARD

With more than 15 years of endurance experience, from marathons to long-distance triathlons across Europe, Brice blends performance and passion with a strong sense of community.

Born on La Réunion in the Indian Ocean, shaped by years in Paris, and now based in Berlin, Brice sees running as a moment of discovery and connection.

“Running is the perfect way to discover your Kiez, Berlin, and the world. What gives me energy is connecting with people. Every run is a new experience, with fresh vibes and the chance to discover the best version of yourself.”

As HOKA Run Club Captain, Brice ensures that every runner feels welcome, supported, and ready to take off on new journeys through the streets of Berlin and beyond.

INSTORE WE'LL HAVE A LIVE MOBILE PRINTING UNIT. WHERE YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM THREE BESPOKE ARTWORKS, FROM LOCAL LONDON ARTISTS, TO PRINT ON TOTE BAGS OR HOKA T-SHIRTS.

Inclusivity

HOKA events welcome individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, gender, ages and identities.
Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Event Conduct

Be respectful and considerate of fellow participants, staff and volunteers.
Follow event-specific guidelines.
No littering – please dispose of trash in designated areas.

Walk ups are welcome at most events however you will still need to register via Splashthat!, we have a QR code available in the store.

Bags & Changing Rooms

If you can, please come ready to run.
We understand this is not always possible and do have one changing room located upstairs on the shop floor.
There are lockers in the community space for those with bags. Whilst we are out on the run the space will be closed off to ensure your belonging are safe, however this is still at your own risk

Footwear Try-ons

Every run club there is a range of different HOKA trainers for you to try for the 5k.
The HOKA Fly Team members will be happy to help you find the right pair for you.
These are handed out on a first come first serve basis, so arrive on time to ensure you get to try some on.
At the end of each run, please hand them back to the Fly Team.
